Susan Retter has 25
years experience with a wide-range and varied
business background in both the profit and
non-profit sectors. Located in our Seattle, WA
office, she is the Senior Program Manager for Fleet
Management Services overseeing the National Fleet
Initiative. Before coming to work with NISH Susan
served as a Regional Vice President for a school bus
contracting company where she had full
accountability for overall financial and operational
management of a $39 million budget for all contracts
in California. As a member of the senior management
team she was responsible for regional
decision-making, policy development and
establishment of long-range region goals for safety,
maintenance, staffing and financial performance.
Prior to this position, Susan held positions as
National Recruitment Director and National Director
of Training and Development where she led workshops
and seminars for nationwide management personnel on
recruitment techniques & best practices. In the
non-profit sector Susan has held Executive Director
positions for Mental Health Association’s in
California and Georgia, plus served as an Assistant
Executive Director for a California Association for
Retarded Citizens. Susan holds a Bachelors of
Science in Business Management from the University
of Phoenix. |

John Bradford has
over 20 years experience in the automotive and heavy
duty truck fleet industry. He has worked closely
with major fleet operators, such as Federal Express,
Hertz Penske, Sealand, Avis, and Associated Grocers,
implementing fleet operations training. He has
developed training programs for Ford, Kenworth and
municipalities, such as, the City of Seattle. As
regional sales manager for a northwest based
warehouse distributor, he worked closely with major
fleet operators of automotive, light truck,
medium/heavy duty and off-highway and marine
equipment. He is a Master Certified lift truck
instructor and has conducted Hazmat training
programs. His responsibilities have included the
design and maintenance of fleet facilities
inventories, and piloting a project utilizing the
new Delco W.I.S.E shop service software system. John
is ASE certified and has consulted for the National
Institute for Automotive Service Excellence as a
subject expert, developing new national standards.
John has 18 years experience as a community and
technical college instructor. He has worked as an
evaluator for the National Automotive Technicians
Education Foundation’s accreditations process for
technical college programs. He has coordinating
training and curriculum development for the
automotive and fleet service industry and earned the
2002 Puget Sound Energy’s “Teacher of the Year
award. |

Leo Garcia is a
Program Manager from our National Fleet Management
Services Team with over 35 years of experience in
Logistics Management, including experience as a
technician and manager in the automotive industry.
He commanded two maintenance companies supporting
15,000 pieces of equipment each, served as Logistics
consultant to various countries and was the
Executive Officer of a large logistics unit during
Desert Storm. After the US Army, Leo became
Equipment Services Manager for the Washington State
Department of Natural Resources, responsible for
providing logistics support to 7 state wide regions,
with over 12,000 pieces of equipment (from chain
saws to helicopters). He holds a Masters of Business
Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration. Leo is also fluent in Spanish. |
